CHIANTI CLASSICO Riserva “LA VERITA” – Valvirginio
Type: Red Wine
Country: Italy
Region: Toscana
Appellation: Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva
Grape Varieties: Sangiovese & Merlot
Vineyard location: San Casciano
Vinifaction: fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel recipient.
Aging: Partial per at least 24 months in oak and 6 months of steel.
Tasting Notes: A wine with a variegated bouquet with a persuasive delicate mineral taste capable of arousing emotion that only great wines can awaken. Only time can release all its typical aromatic compounds from the floral scent of violet, red fruit. With aging in wood, it is enriched with balsamic notes that complement the elegance of the perfume and the harmony of taste, favoring evolution and complexity.
Food Pairings: It goes well with succulent foods such as red meat and game and goes well with aged cheeses.
Service Temperature: 17-18 °C.
It is “La Verità/The Truth” that Sangiovese, “the prince of Chianti vines and of Tuscan wine history”, expresses its best characteristics with aging.
Thus our “Verità/Truth” from Sangiovese and Merlot grapes harvested in the Classic area, the Chianti Classico area.
